Bulrush scientific name is Typha orientalis. It is native to Vietnam, China, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and some other Asian countries. In Vietnam, this plant has been harvested mainly for food. It was not until the years 2019 to 2020 that people realized the value of its stems and leaves. These parts can be dried to achieve more durability and then be used to create wicker products, similar to how bamboo or sedge is used.
